Never underestimate the power of a good read.

This article gave me goosebumps. Life is so strange yesterday I was on a digital conference call, surfing the web, looking at Flipboard as a new vehicle for hosting and consuming digital content, and then today . . . this article from the NY Times totally jarred me and reminded me that in the vastest vast majority of the world, plain old fashioned books still have an awe inspiring capacity to be tools of justice and change. Please read this one . . . it’s worth it.

PS – My favourite line about the former Microsoft exec turned book loving philanthropist? ” [He’s] attacking illiteracy as if it were Netscape. Well played, NYT, well played.
